Terms of service
Last updated: 6 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Thallo, Denmark ("we") for using Thallo. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't, please don't use Thallo.
What Thallo is
Thallo is a web app for tracking your net worth. You add accounts, such as a bank account, a pension or a car, and type in a balance for each one when you have a new number. Thallo converts everything into your display currency with daily exchange rates and adds it up. It also shows how much of a change came from exchange rates and how much from your balances.
What Thallo isn't
- Not financial advice. Thallo shows figures based on what you enter. Nothing in Thallo, including Signals, is investment, tax, legal or financial advice. Make your own decisions, or ask a qualified adviser.
- Not a bank or a broker. Thallo doesn't connect to your bank, can't see transactions and can't move money.
- Not a source of truth for your balances. The numbers are only as good as what you enter. If a balance is out of date or an estimate is wrong, your total will be too.
- Not exact on exchange rates. Thallo uses reference rates from a free public service, Frankfurter, which publishes rates from central banks and official sources. They are not the rates your bank would give you, and they don't include fees.
An AI model (Claude, from Anthropic) writes Signals from numbers Thallo's own code has calculated. The wording can still be wrong. Check anything that matters against your own records.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over to use Thallo.
- Auth0 handles sign-in. Keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us at help@mythallo.net if you think someone else has got into your account.
- One account has one sign-in. Partners can share an account by using that sign-in, because Thallo has no joint ownership.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- try to get into anyone else's account or data
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or get around its security
- use automated tools to scrape or copy the service, other than your own CSV export
- use Thallo for anything unlawful, or to store data that isn't yours to store
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to export your data.
Your data stays yours
You own the accounts, balances and notes you put into Thallo. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.
You can download everything as CSV files at any time. Export is free on every plan.
Early access
Thallo is free during early access. No card is needed.
Thallo will later become a paid service. We will give you 30 days' notice before any charge applies, and nothing is charged unless you choose a plan and enter payment details. Paid plans will be covered by the subscription and refund terms.
Thallo is still being built. During early access, features may change, be added or be removed.
Availability
We can't promise Thallo will always be available or free of errors. It may be down for maintenance, or because a provider we rely on has a problem. There is no uptime guarantee.
Keep your own copy of anything important. You can use the CSV export for that.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion is permanent after 7 days. Signing back in during those 7 days cancels it.
We may end your access to Thallo with 30 days' notice, except where we have to act sooner for legal or security reasons. If we shut Thallo down, we will give you at least 60 days to export your data first.
Liability
Thallo is free during early access and provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we aren't responsible for losses that come from using it. That includes decisions you make based on its figures, balances that are wrong or out of date, exchange rates, and the wording of Signals. We aren't responsible for indirect losses either.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can export your data and delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Denmark. Disputes go to the courts of Denmark. If you are a consumer, you keep any protection the law of your own country gives you.
